Posted by Jack Blandford on November 23, 2009 at 7:11 pmHas anyone had this problem. I try to export, using the “using quicktime conversion” tab. It spins the dreaded pinwheel, then crashes the system. help. jack

November 23, 2009 at 7:16 pmI think if I could take away one feature of FCP, it would be the QT Conversion option.
Export to Quicktime, then do whatever compression you need.

November 23, 2009 at 9:38 pmIt’s possible that part of the the media you’re trying to export is corrupt. Try exporting a different frame. What exactly is your export workflow. What type of still are you trying to export?

November 23, 2009 at 9:40 pmYou can do a standard screen grab and then crop it down in Photoshop- Apple+Shift+4 which then gives you a cross hair to drag around whatever you want to capture. File will show up on your desktop in TIFF, PDF or PNG format.
