CPU vs GPU usage – Adobe After Effects 2020
How much of After Effects processing power comes from CPU vs GPU nowadays?
I’m going to purchase a new computer and I’m wondering which of these two is the most important. I mostly do VFX work such as keying, tracking, particle systems etc. and I only work with AE’s built-in effects and tools.

It’s still mostly CPU. The GPU accelerates a lot more than it did a few years ago, but it doesn’t need to be a super-big GPU to get the job done.
