  • CPU usage in a script process

When i run a .jsx script in AE my CPUs are very much underused (only 2 out of 8, and not even at full load) and i’m wondering if that’s a normal feature. It really feels like a big waste, only 12% cpu usage, lots of RAM available, and the script takes ages to run.

(When rendering a comp with the AE Render Engine, everything is fine, all cpus are fully used).

    Any advice welcome !

Note: the script is generating a path over time, it doesnt modify the pixels of a footage item (so that might be the reason).

    Xavier.
