There are many ways to create backgrounds in After Effects and many of us have our own special ways of doing this. Please join Dean Velez creator of ”The Anvel Training Program for Motion Graphics” in a 5 part series as he shares some of his different methods. In this part five of the series, Dean uses the polygon lasso tool in Photoshop to create a wide odd shaped polygon in the center of the screen for each new layer with varying sizes, green tones, blend modes and overlap. He then imports the psd into After Effects to create a futuristic background.

Click on the link above to find Dean’s article or click on the Adobe After Effects COW forum title banner at the top of the page to find all of the AE tutorials here at Creativecow.net

Dean, with the tuts at the COW and yours, we don’t really need any training materials for AE – no? 😉

Good work and thanks for visiting the COW.
