  • COW feature or bug? (default view in forums)

Posted by Deleted User on March 2, 2007 at 5:42 pm

Recently the COW’s forums have defaulted to sort-by-date view (most recent at top) instead of thread view.

Is this considered a feature or a bug?

I much prefer thread view. I’m aware I can click on the “T” icon to enable it. However, I keep my browser (Firefox) to always delete cookies on every quit, so the COW reverts to sort-by-date view every time I return to the site.

FWIW: A vote to return to thread view. 🙂

    All the best,

    – Peter

[Peter DeCrescenzo] “Recently the COW’s forums have defaulted to sort-by-date view (most recent at top) instead of thread view. …”

Actually, on closer inspection, it appears the COW’s forums have recently begun to default to “collapsed thread” view (or whatever it’s called).

I still prefer “uncollapsed/expanded” threads myself, but maybe I’m the only one? 🙂

So the question remains: Feature or bug?

to me the most unusual feature of the COW forums is that a new post does not bring a thread back to the top.
