    Good reading, for sure. Just a quick question: the article says that DVCPRO HD’s data rate is 100 Mbps; yet the FCP 6 manual (page 208) says it’s only 11.75 MB/sec.

    Was this a typo, or is the FCP manual wrong, or am I mising something here?

    Paul,

    The lower case “b” stands for bits; the upper base “B” stands for bytes. Multiply the bytes by 8 to get bits. Essentially the same data rate.
