    Covert Tapes to DVD

    I shot a wedding in HD on MiniDV tape at 1080i on a Sony FX-7 camera. Now the bride would like those tapes converted straight to DVD.

    The problem is Costco and Ritz camera don’t have the capabilities to convert HD media to dvd. If I shot it in standard def then it would be no problem.

    I’m trying to help them out as they are out of state and far away from me.

    One way is for then to find a friend or rent a Sony HDV tape camcorder, and down convert in the cam and record on a settop DVD recorder

    Is your point to give her a DVD that contains an actual HD recording?
