Good morning…I’m muddling through FCP 5 and am finding it to be an interesting journey. Two questions:

1.) Is there a pre-set COUNTDOWN? Within the FCP Browser, VIDEO GENERATORS has Bars & Tone but no Countdown???

2.) How does one get the Keyframe applied to a Timeline video track. I can get the audio track keyframed for simple In/Out fading and would think the same can be done to a video track?

Thank you for the help. Thom Sullivan/Comcast

…I figured out the Video Keyframe option. However, locating and applying a COUNTDOWN is still a mystery. Thank you. Thom Sullivan/Comcast

    1. Record any “Print to Video” to a tape from FCP with the Countdown option selected, then Capture that tape of the countdown back into FCP and keep it.

    2. There used to be several animated academy countdown leaders on the FCP install disks:

    FCP 4.0 Install CD >
    Extras folder >
Head Leaders for Cinema Tools folder >
    Leader Clips folder >
Choose one and import it into FCP.

    3. Go here:

And roll down to the “Final Cut Pro Universal Leaders” section, download your choice, and import.
