Well you could try the NUmbers effects. Also, what numbers do you want it to count from? It would help if you would be more specific. If you wanted to do it via an expression you would apply something like this to the source text property of a text layer:

//–Begin Expression
numBegin = 0;//Beginning Number
numEnd = 1000;//Ending number
tBegin = 0;//Begin time in seconds
tEnd = 90;//End time in seconds
temp = linear(time, tBegin, tEnd, numBegin, numEnd);
Math.round(temp)
//–End Expression
