Bump does not bake out in single file psd

October 29, 2022 at 6:36 amI’m running R25. I’m new to material baking, so apologies if this sounds basic. I’m trying to bake color and bump channels using material bake tag. I selected psd so I could bake them all in a single file, but when the material baked out, only the color was present; the bump does not show up in the material. Has anyone encountered this before, and what was the fix?
I can only guess that bump isn’t supported for single file baking?
Thanks!

March 15, 2023 at 12:24 pmThe material bake tag’s values could need to be adjusted in order for the bump channel to be included in the output. Make sure the bump channel is enabled in the material bake tag settings and that the bump map is also present in the material settings for the item you are baking.

March 15, 2023 at 12:36 pmAnother issue is that the material’s bump map is incorrectly configured. Make sure the bump map is applied properly and that the bump strength is set to a level that will be discernible in the rendered result.
Finally, it’s possible that the software you’re using contains a bug or other error. Update to the most recent version or ask the software’s support staff for help.
