    Could I record a good video with this camera?

    Hi,
    This is a newbie question, so forgive the crudeness of my description.
    I am going to purchase a Canon Powershot SX500 IS 16MP for £150, new. And also a green screen kit for £95, with lighting, stands etc from eBay.

    I am aiming to create mini documentaries of around 15 minutes long, in a virtual studio. So I won’t actually be using the camera to take photographs, just to record videos.

    Is this camera suitable for such things? Or, considering my budget, do you have any other suggestions? I watched some YouTube demos of the camera recording, and the quality looked great. Will I be able to record for extended periods, and does the fact that it looks like a camera, rather than a camcorder actually matter?
