I just corrupted a project file I had been working with for awhile. Too bad…I’m gonna lose a bunch of work that was freakin’ tour de force. Shoulda backed up that project file!

Anyway. All I was doing was creating text in FCP and then used the “Send To” command. After that point, the Motion File became corrrupted and crashed Motion when trying to open it. All other files open fine.

    Dang.

    Heya,

Motion does autosave. If you can open the project in Motion, go to the File menu and choose ‘Restore from Autosave’. If you can’t do it that way, you can find the autosave files in ~/Documents/Motion Documents/Autosave Vault. Autosaves are organized by project name and date.

    Good luck!

Cool! Thanks for pointing that out.

You know what happened? I reinstalled the OS and FC Studio and tried to open the project once more. It opened up after I reconnected the media.

I am so happy to have restored the work and nice to know about the auto save vault.

    Thanks man….
