    Hi All,
I have just returned from a week of shooting movie on 3 Canon 5Ds, and all my content has transferred okay.

With my last shot here in Toronto, however, I wasn’t as lucky.

One of the 6 cards used failed out on transfer:

The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in "MVI_5376.MOV" coiuld not be read or written (Error code -36)

Then the Finder would show the transfer in progress, hung on the last 5MB of a 3.4GB file.

    Steps to fix:
    1. Insert card into PC and run CHKDSK /F (Internet suggestion)

    Result:
Many orphaned files were created in a FOUND.000 folder, and the original video MOV is not a shadow of its former self (403MB). Not surprisingly, this new files cannot be read by QT as a legitimate movie.

    Question:
Am I as pooched with this corrupt file as I think I am?
