Corrupt “pmr file” in MXF folder, Avid says delete, file does not exist!!
Please Help
I worked on a project yesterday and all was good. At the end of the day I quit Avid and ejected one of my 4 drives. The next morning I remounted the drive and it came up fine. I launch Avid, and it says there is a corrupt file in the pmr file. “If possible, delete the pmr file and relaunch the app.”
I went to the mxf folder in question and there were NOT a pmr or mmob files, or a Creating Folder. I’ve deleted mmob files in the past for database rebuilds and not had a problem.
I restarted the PC, (windows 7 pro 64 bit),and relaunched Avid hoping it would see there was no pmr or mmob files and rebuild. Same warning. What do I do? I need this footage. 14 years on Avid and 7 years on mxf files and have never had this happen.
Thanks,
Chris
