Corrupt FCP Project File
Hi.
We just upgraded a system from 4.5 HD to 5.0.4 and one of the projects we were working with has stopped working. IT gets to about 5% of the ‘reading project’ dialogue box and then puts up a ‘general error’. We went to try to use some of the copies from the autosave vault, by copying and renaming them to see if they would open, no luck. Every version of the project that was saved using final cut pro 5 won;t open anymore. even on other machines running fcp 5.0.3 and 5.0.2…
I have tossed prefs, repaired perms, reinstalled final cut… nothing works.

Take the media offline and see if it launches.

Hi! I have same problem.
Every time I try to open project – General error apear! Always on 32%.
I try to open Autosave Vaults, I try to open project on second Mac (without media files)…
Someone have idea?
