corrupt audio file
I am shooting a project in 16mm and using the Tascam DR-100 to record sound. Today I shot a roll of film as usual and went to transfer the audio from the shoot to my laptop. It said the card was unreadable. I tried running a data recovery software and that was able to “find” my audio wav file. It looks like a wav file and appears to be the correct file size. However when I play it (I’ve tried it in the finder window of my Macbook pro, in quicktime player, in itunes, and in VLC) it plays the first one minute perfectly and then suddenly turns into white noise for the duration of the remaining 10 minutes. This was a long take interview and irreplaceable documentary material. Is there anything else I can do to fix this corrupted audio file??
