Correctly convert AVCHD 60i to DVD settings clarification
Hello all,
I’ve been researching and reading forums all day and am more confused than ever on how to correctly convert AVCHD 1920X1080 60i to DVD in Vegas. First render I setup my project properties with default settings for 1920X1080 60i and render to new track with the default NTSC widescreen DVD Architect setting. When I play it back on my tv, durring fast motion I’m seeing lines.(like when a persons arm moves fast the arm gets all distorted and full of lines). I’m guessing I’ve got some interlacing issue. My understanding is that the AVCHD 60i video from my canon HF100 & HF200s are upper field first interlaced video. Do I need to do any deinterlacing at all to get to DVD? Standard DVD is 480i correct? So I’m going from one interlaced source to an interlaced destination.
What are the correct settings for “deinterlace method” and “field order” in my project properties AND in my output settings? This is a sports video.
Thanks for any help.
