  • Correcting Unwanted Gain in FCP 5.1?

    Hello,

I am somewhat new to color correcting and post production repairs, so bear with me if this is rudimentary, but I shot a concert with 7 Z1U’s, and one of them had auto Gain set and looks very “Snowy”.

Is there any filter or manuel setting in post to make this look smoother in any way and look like it was shot with the same camera. It is in 1080i60.

    Thanks for your expertise!

That is going to be hard to fix. You might want to sharpen up the image and color correct it. Usually dropping the blacks and mids will put you inthe ball park, but the problem is going to be grain removal.

It really depends on the severity of the gain.
