  • Correcting over-exposure afterwards?

Understandably it’s one of those things you should aim to avoid when capturing video at source, but is there anything you can do afterwards to correct any over-exposure that slipped through the net?

Here’s an example of something I’d like to correct:

I was using a consumer Sony HC42 mini-DV camcorder at the time.

Thanks for any help you could possibly give.

I would try the new Luma corrector filter in PPro 2.0. You can adjust the contrast, gain, gamma, and pedestal and fine-tune tonal ranges. For regional corrections, try the Luma corrector with track mattes or the new secondary color correction feature.

Unfortunatly the sky, both shirts and one forhead have RGB values of 255,255,255 and no adjustment will bring out any details. A small levels adjustment will improve the jackets and some greenery.
