I have almost no experience and no knowledge of correcting audio problems. I captured audio from a VHS tape, passing through a digital camcorder to the computer. The video looks pretty good. The audio is ok, except there now is a distinctive pattern of sounds that got added to the audio track, and it repeats the same pattern throughout the tape. Suggestions and recommended tutorials greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim

The first thing I would try is to capture the audio again without the noise. Or is the noise on the VHS tape? iZotope RX is a great noise reduction plug-in for getting rid of all sorts of noise problems. VASST has a training DVD, Absolute Training for Vegas+DVD, Vol. 5: Noise Reduction in Sony Vegas that will give you a good foundation for handling tough audio problems in Vegas. If the noise is not on the original tape I would try and recapture first.
