correct prores format?
If I have .mp4 drone footage which was shot at 100 mbps and I want to transcode for editing/color workflow, rather than using prores (which is 145mbps), would I want to use prores lt (100mbps) since its closer to the original recorded format. I don’t want to create larger files if I dont have to, but not sure if the lt format is realiable.

ProRes LT is perfectly reliable. ProRes 422 would be a tad better, less compressed than LT, but LT will be just fine.

I’m a big fan of LT. It’s about 25-30% smaller and plays very nice on a timeline. Visually indistinguishable from 422 unless you are keying with it or doing heavy compositing. We deliver broadcast spots in LT.
