Correct HD codec to use in AE?
It’s been my experience that any codec used to import HD footage in AE besides NONE (which I guess is no codec at all) results in the footage being altered. Importing using Uncompressed 8 bit, or ProRes422 makes the image very washed out. Using H264 has been the best, resulting in only a little desaturation in the reds. But only None works perfectly. But the file sizes are huge. Anyone else know of a solution to this problem?
The footage I’m importing was captured from HDCAM in prores422, but I’ve experienced the same problem no matter what the HD footage is, or how it was captured.

Which version of AE are you using? This was a big problem in 6.5, not sure about 7. 8 has sorted it out.

It happens with 6.5 and the newest version. I have discovered that the Animation codec works, but it is creates a very large file size.
