    Correct FCP Device Settings for Panasonic AJ-D960 + Blackmagic

    Can someone please confirm the correct device control settings in FCP when using a Panasonic AJ-D960 with PAL video.
    Is it a matter of copying the ‘Blackmagic PAL 25Hz’ setting and changing the protocal from ‘Sony 422’ to ‘Panasonic 422’?

    Are the Capture and Playback Offsets the same?

    Hi,

    When using a Panasonic deck, you should switch the protocol from Sony to Panasonic.

    [Post Man] “Are the Capture and Playback Offsets the same?”

    This will differ from deck to deck and even decks of the same make may have different offsets. You should experiment with capturing and playback to your deck to find its offsets. The default settings is a good starting point.
