correct codec for zi8 in premiere pro cs5
I am having some render issues. A 3 1/2 minute clip is taking 5 minutes to render.
I’m not sure if I’m using the right codec or if I should convert the file into a usable format for Premiere.
I want to have the highest quality image with a manageable amount of render time as i have a lot of footage.Specs on clip:

Try using another than C: drive.
Video-editing requires at least two seperate drives. -
You should include your computer specs, and mention if you have a approved cuda card in your system, CPU horsepower is the prime driver in any render, your footage from a Zi8 is AVC1 H.264 in a .mov wrapper, thats the codec, its very highly compressed so less then a 1 to 2 render time is not excessive.
