I’ve been checking out the Core Animation information in Leopard. https://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/coreanimation.html
The description is that it is animation available for developers, but after seeing what they did with photos in the
example on this page, and on Apple’s commercial, I want to play with this stuff too.

Does anyone know if this Animation is or will be made available in Final Cut or in Motion?

    Thanks!

From what I can see it’s more for incorporating into applications than for an end user.

Agreed Walter. Core animation is a toolset for developers to allow them to incorporate more animations into application GUIs and so on – the new Time Machine feature in Leopard for one. This differs from the use of open GL and SLI in apps like Motion (and future FCP I gather).

Could see some flashy new interfaces in future FCS releases I suppose! Viva la bloatware…

I would expect it to be seen in the version release of FCS that coincides with Leopard. Clearly, Apple intends to utilize it in their own apps but the promotion of it was intended for other devs to plan for it.
