Is there a benefit to using a quad core for Premiere Pro 2.0? How about a 64 bit system; is it worth installing if I’m using Premiere Pro 2.0?

ppro 2 doesnt support multicore anything.. so no, there isnt really any benefit to you while using premiere

everything else should go faster though

64 bits will allow you to use over 3 gigs of memory if it’s installed, no other benefits.
