Is there a reference or guide somewhere out there that defines all of those values?

If you’re running Windows, you can refer to the Character Map. It’s located under Start –> Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools. Or you can just click Start –> Run and type ‘charmap’ (without the quotes).

Find the symbol you want and click on it. You’ll see the keystroke for that symbol in the lower right corner of the charmap window.

I now remember it was indeed 0169, because the problem Premiere has is accepting character codes without a leading 0, so for instance ALT+130 or ALT+137 for accented characters are not supported. I have made a feature request long ago and am curious to see if that has been honored in CS3.

interesting…yeah, in deed it was 0169.

…and i guess we’ll see if they’ve bothered to update the glitch in CS3.

I know creative suite 3 has launched, but any news on Premiere’s release date yet?

From a mail I got today, they expect to ship my order around August 20. The previous mail mentioned August 27, so it appears they are now one week ahead of the previous schedule.

I may be mistaken, but i think ALL character codes need to be 4 digits, hence the leading zero, for any program where you want extended “alt +” characters. I know it’s true in 3dsMax and Illustrator.
BTW, I keep a shortcut for “character map” in my main start menu. I can only remember the first digit (0) for things…
