July 20, 2006 at 2:16 pmThat’s how you do it in ANY Mac app. Ya know, that reminds me, is there an equivelent to “key caps” in OSX? That was so cool on the older Macs…
Have a wonderful day.

July 20, 2006 at 3:01 pmIn system preference, international, input menu tab, check “show input menu in menu bar”, and in the list check “keyboard viewer”. This will place an icon in the upper menu bar (if using american english, it’s an american flag).
Pull down this menu, and select “Show Keyboard Viewer”

July 20, 2006 at 3:10 pmEven better is the small App “PopChar”.
https://www.download.com/PopChar-X/3000-2255_4-10258561.html
I’ve used this app for at least a decade.
Puts a tiny icon in the corner of your screen.
Click it and every charater in a font is shown.Click on any character and the app “types” it instantly into any kind of document (or charater generator) you’re working with.
