How do i go about securing the rights to record/distribute copyrighted songs? Is there a websie? How much does it usually cost. I am refering to the graduation dvd post. The choir will be performing a song by Rent “Rent Meledy” does anyone know how to get those rights? Thanks again

You can start by noting the information on the jacket of the recording, it will list the company/ies that own the rights.
You might want to check out the B-Z permissions web site for a good introduction to this very complicated issue.
