I am trying to paste the numbers in the timeline display box from FCP to microsoft word 2008, and as a personal preference I would like them pasted in Times New Roman, however every time I paste they are in Lucida Grande.

I have modified a style for the areas where I am pasting them, and this seems to work in regard to the size and condensed/extended spacing between the characters – but oddly enough refuses to allow the numbers to be pasted in another type of font –

So my word formatting style could read:
Times New Roman, size 14. and it’ll paste in Lucida Grande size 14 –
Change that style to Times New Roman, size 13 and it’ll paste in Lucida Grande size 13.

So, my question firstly would be why does modifying a style affect the size of the font of the timeline numbers I am pasting from FCP but not the font itself?

And secondly, and more importantly, how can I get it so that the numbers paste in Times New Roman and not Lucida Grande.

    Cheers.

You probably want to ask this question on a Microsoft Office forum if there is such a thing.

    All the best,

There is such a thing, many a thing, but everyone says the opposite:

Should this be posted in a FCP forum, so it is in both:

If anyone has experience in pasting the timeline numbers into various types of documents I’d be very appreciative of help.

    Darren,

You could always use the “match destination format” option in your office document. After you paste whatever you’re copying into the document a little clipboard pops up on the document screen. Just click that and you can choose destination format — as long as your document is set up properly (TNR 14pt.) it will convert the text to those specs.
