  • Copy/Paste to new Sequence – now double letterboxed?

I’m working with footage that’s all the same – 720p60 HD. I opened a new sequence in FCP 7, copied and pasted some clips fporm the old sequence to the new, and half of them have black all the way around them in the canvas and some of them look normal (and take upi the entire window.) Everything looks normal in the original timeline, and all the footage is from the same shoot, same camera, same log and transfer session, can anyone please help me figure this out tonight? Thanks!

Try selecting the footage on the sequence and “Remove Attributes: basic Motion + Distort”.

This does nothing, I don’t understand why a sequence in the same project is so different? All the ‘sequence settings’ are exactly the same. Anyone?

Then obviously both sequence are not identical.

Rafael is correct, somethings not the same.
When I’m not sure what different, I’ll highlight the clip and the sequence in the browser and then look at the dimensions, frame rate, compressor, etc. You should see a difference there.

    Good Luck,
