March 6, 2011 at 1:35 amI just tried it and Vegas doesn’t recognise the alpha channel automaticlly. Right click on the new uncompressed w/alpha corner bug video event on the top track of the timeline and click, Properties, and switch the alpha channel to “Straight (unmatted). Now everything but the bug is transparent.
Oh yea, Watch out for moving busses. Danny Hays -

March 6, 2011 at 4:01 amI would recommend that you use the QuickTime Animation codec for logos. This is what it was designed for and it will be a much smaller file than uncompressed AVI.

March 6, 2011 at 12:06 pmIf the logo is a static image (not animated), you can render it as a single PNG image and use that in projects that need the logo.
Just start a blank project using the settings you plan to use in your projects, insert your logo graphic onto a video track and get it lined up using track motion or pan/crop. Apply any required effects (shadow etc). Make sure there’s nothing else below the logo (i.e. black background).
Then set the loop region to a single frame of the logo and Render As, select Image Sequence and use the PNG template. You’ll end up with a single PNG image that you can then insert into any project that requires the logo. This of course can be stretched out to whatever duration you want and takes the least rendering effort and disk space.

THANK YOU so much for the tip on opening 2 instances of Vegas… I am running 10 Platinum on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine and it would not copy and paste between projects… UNTIL now!!!!!
