    Hello All,

I’m trying to transfer subclips from my desktop to an external drive (and then to my laptop). I was doing this successfully last week and now I can’t figure it out for the life of me.

I thought I had just cut and pasted but the computer won’t allow me to paste the subclips on the external drive. Ahhhh!

    Thanks in advance.

Subclips in Vegas are not real files. They are just meta-data about longer clips made to look like shorter clips but there is nothing on the filesystem to represent the actual subclip and thus nothing you could copy to an external hard drive. I’m not sure how you thought you did it before but subclips are not file system objects. You would have to copy the actual files that the subclips are taken from.

Thanks, John. I guess maybe I’m remembering wrong. I figured a way to work around it.
