I was trying to copy a path from Illustrator 11 to AF 6 to use as a track for a camera. Couldn’t get the path to copy and paste to position keyframes. Any thing I’m missing? all help would be great…I was following a great tutorial i found on this site about controlling a camera move by pasting the path. But I couldn’t do it…

Did you change your AI prefs? AICB? Preserve paths?

Check the AE help files for Importing paths from Illustrator – there is an “Important Note” (or something like that in small letters) which tells you what setting you;ll need to have activated in Illustrator to do this properly.

But yeah – AICB in your Files and Clipboard preferences (I think) is the key one.

It would seem I know even less about AI than I do and AE. DOH
