Copying Mask Points
Got a simple question but I haven’t had any luck finding an answer.
Is there any way to copy points of a mask without copying the whole mask?
I rotoscoped part of a comp but after adding another element to the composition, all the mask points that I didn’t bother animating need to be animated. I’d like to be able to do this without having to change all of the other mask points I’ve already masked.An a related note, does anyone have any tips about what to do with excess mask points? I rotoscoped some hair flying around, which required many mask points, but later when the hair lies flat, I have a bunch of extra points rounding the head. Is there an easy way to smooth them out?

Use more than one mask – this way if objects or parts of objects overlap and need more points that later become useless then you do not need to struggle to keep a clean shape.
