I’ve put together several effects, applied to one layer, and all the effects are controlled by two variables, so I can easily make them change over time.

But I’ve found that when I copy the effects, it does not copy the expressions. It takes a lot of time to re-copy all the expressions individually. What can I do?

Try saving an animation preset by:

Select the properties, property group, and effects that contain the values or keyframes you want to save:
Choose Animation > Save Animation Preset.

The expressions are picked up (for me, anyway) when you select the property (above)that the expression is applied to. This is from the help files and there are several other ways to saave, search the help files for Animation Preset.

You need to select the effect and the property that contains the expression, then it will work.
