I’m copying a compound clip from event1 to event2 and as I do so I get the following:

I click OK, and the compound clip (which contains other compounds) is copied to event 2, but lower level source video and audio files, that live deeper down within the compound clip, do not appear to be associated with Event2, at least in the Events Browser.

If I go into a project that uses the compound clip from Event2 and select the audio or video and click “view in finder”, I do in fact see that it does live in the “original media” folder for Event2.

But what is confusing is, why when I click “Reveal in Browser” it can not help me by showing me the region within the Event browser. I also have this happen all the time when viewing nested clips within a compound clip. I can’t figure out the rule for when it will and when it won’t let me “Reveal in Browser”.

If the organization of media is intended to be done within the events browser, why is it so often, that I’m unable to get access to the region of media that I want to keyword or otherwise organize? Usually I just want to go to the original media and view areas around it for some other good parts.

Why do they hide the referenced media that gets copied to the new event? Is there a workflow where this would be useful? Do people sync multiple audio sources to a video within one event and then copy the synced_compound_clip from that event to another event for the actual editing?

My workflow tends to be iterative while I’m building up a project. I want to build up and reuse keyword segments as I go, for my current project and for other projects. Sorry for all the questions, I just need to get past these hurdles.
