Copying and Pasting a clip from one timeline to another
Hello all,
I am having a slight problem with copying and pasting. I need to combine elements from two sequences. When I copy and paste the clip which is in V1 in sequence A, I want it to overwrite into V2 in sequence B. What it is doing now is overwriting into V1 in sequence B. Then, once I’ve adjusted the timing etc, I’d like to “drop down” the clips from V2 into V1 so I can apply the transitions etc.
Is there a simple way to do this? I know it’s a an odd way of approaching things, but as I need to combine these two sequences, that’s kind of the way it needs to get done.
For those interested why I am doing this, it was originally a dual-monitor presentation with talking heads etc. I need to combine it into a single monitor presentation, so while I have a little bit of room with the timing, I don’t have much, I just need to basically mush these two sequences together. When pasting into the new sequence, turn of the auto select button on V1 ( the button to the right of the lock track button.) Then paste it in.
