[David Cherniack] “I use this software for two reasons. Matrox Axio makes it the most capable HD NLE for the work I’m doing at present”

Seems somewhat contradictory that you chide Adobe for its lack of product development ( bad gown design) yet you state it is the most capable NLE for your purposes. (As it is for me – PremPro/Matrox RTX100)

I also hope that whatever shortcomings that have been identified by the legions of complaints have been taken on board at Adobe and addressed in subsequent releases if relevant. I think they have done a pretty good job of developing the app from its first humble steps to where it is today. ( I have been there the whole route)

Now where is that plug in for ….

It would be nice if you could open an existing title within the titler, like in any other ctrl+o situation, rather than having to go back to the bin and double-clicking.

Of course there are other HD options, including Avid DS Nitris, Sony Xpri, Leitch Velocity HD, Discreet Fire, Canopus Edius HD, and of course FCP HD, (with apoliges to whatever others I have ignored), if you want to escape PPro. They’re all just tools to do a job …

Sorry..I guess I didn’t make myself clear enough for you. I don’t want to escape PPro. I want it to become an efficient NLE. It’s not that far off. 2.5 should do it, if the designers will listen and prioritize that as a necessary goal. (I’m starting to get the impression that 2.0 will not provide any major improvements along that line.)

I have had the exact problems like you and a lot of other editors. My workaround have been to make a title. Copy it in it’s folder and rename it – then import it into premiere.
