I tracked four points on a footage. Now I want that tracker data to be copied to a matte shape I created (in another footage) so that the matte will travel the screen following the tracking data I created. Is that possible using AE7? How about AE CS3? Thanks.

It sounds like you want to apply the tracking data as a Corner Pin on the Matte, this will stretch the corners of the matte layer to the attach points of your trackers. You should look at the AE help on Tracking for more information:

Sorry, I mean a mask, not a matte (are they the same?)

Anyway, this is what I’m trying to do: I have two footages, one on top of the other. I drew a mask shape (a circle) on the footage on top. Now in the footage under, there’s this moving object that I tracked.

The reason for the mask is that I want the footage on top to show only the area inside the circle (mask). Now I want the mask to move in the same direction as the object I tracked on the footage underneath it. Thanks.
