I tried to prevent copying of DVD that I have produced using DVD Architect Pro 5.0. I went into the properties and set the copy protection settings so that I thought it would not copy. Just to make sure I put the disc in a DVD copy tower and a copy was created!!! Any ideas what I might have done wrong, or does anybody have any experience with these settings making them work!

    Read the manual.

This does not copy-protect the DVD, it just tells the disc replicator to add copy-protection. In order to get copy protection you need to pay (thrhe replicator service) for a Macrovision license and royalties. About $3,000 for short-run DVD’s.

    And totally worthless.

Thank you Mark for asking and thank you Steve for the scoop. I have been wondering what “the copy-protect the DVD” was all about. You guys just saved me a bunch of time.

Thanks Steve for the info and Phil for confirming that I was not the only one who didn’t know this!
