Copy Presets and FX from one pc pro 12 to another pc pro13 please best way
I have laptop with vegas pro 12 and a new one with vegas pro 13 now on it. In short AND would like to copy over some of the handful of presets I created (colored correction mostly) and saved plus some fx plugins
I’d appreciate please if some of you could explain how to do this, and find the folders structure location likely they are in to copy and paste one laptop to new one and vegas pro13 where to paste.
Saves me re-creating no big deal – but yes would be nice to save some time!many thanks

You’re going to need to download from the SCS site the freebie Preset Manager. Awesome utility. Read up about it, and get back here with your questions.
I’ve used it on a number of occasions to do something like you’re planning to do AND to share between other Pro Editors and creative content providers.

Your presets are saved in a folder.
In the folder “OFX Presets” in your My Documents folder.

Graham, sorry what you said over my head, no idea what SCS means. Why would I get back here with my questions though? When I have described what I want to do and have already create color corrections fxs saved them and want to to transfer from one pc to another along etc.

Norman, I presume then I open that folder called “OFX Presets” which I have just done and copy what is in there over to the NEW laptop yes-correct?

SCS = Sony Creative Software
As to asking questions, you might want to ask questions about the use of Preset Manager.

Thanks Graham ok…yes already know and use preset manager via Sony Creative Software for installing ones I found and liked on old laptop HOWEVER, I want to simply copy some saved presets fxs (mostly color corrections I tweaked and then saved i.e. gave them the name etc) I did on old laptop vegas pro12 and copy to the new laptop and vegas 13….Hmmm so not sure where preset manager comes even in for doing that – as seems to me I simply open the FX vegas folder Norman mentioned location wise and simply copy paste to new laptop same folder?

Yes, copy the contents of the OFX Presets folder from one machine to the other.
