In flash there is the ability to copy motion between layers. This basically replicates the animation of one layer onto the next.

Does C4D have a similar function? Can i copy the animation that i have created on one object onto another object?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Using Cinema 4D 10.5 / OSX 10.4.11

In the timeline select the object (and with it all keyframes)…
hold down control+shift and drag the selected keyframes onto your new objects track…
(before you transfer, you might have to create at least one keyframe at your new object)

    Cheers
