So I have this internal HD that I am replacing with a bigger drive. I plan to put the old drive on the shelf as a backup. I’d like to have a document of all the files on the drive so I don’t have to put it back in to see what’s on it. I discovered that you can make a list of a folders contents and all sub folders by dragging them into TextWrangler. That’s okay, but a little hard to scan visually. Does any one have a better solution? The text file of course is searchable but it would be nice if the snapshot of the drive looked and operated like OSX finder with twirldown folders. I just need the names of the files for reference. I suppose I could make a dummy folder in finder that had alias files of all of them. Anyone have any ideas?
