Elliot, you might have noticed most posts on this forum are not about FCPX techniques and the forum name is confusing. Here’s the FCPX techniques forum which will put you in touch with some who come here to argue with others about the relative merits of all NLEs and a whole lot of other editors who don’t but use FCPX all the time. Many here don’t have FCPX and can’t help with such specific technique answers.
