Need Help with a Text Proj

well it propably is totaly easy but i cant do it.. 🙁
all i want is in my existing composition wich has a backround text an emitter.. and a wiggle addet to the text.

what i want is make a copy of that text “and the emiter” and have it apear just after the first text apears.. but if i change the “copy” it also changes the text in the first composition..

does anyone have a clue what im doing wrong?
    sry for my bad spelling..

Are you duplicating it in the comp timeline, or in the project bin?

If you duplicate in the timeline, you are making an exact copy, so anything you change in the duplicate will be reflected by the original comp.

If you duplicate in the project bin, you are creating a new instance of the comp, and any changes you make to the duplicate will not affect the original comp.

I think that’s right anyway.. Hope this helps.

This doesn’t sound right. Perhaps you’ll want to post teh AEP up for someone to dowload and take a look. If you do so, please specif the AE version.

    Cheers
