    HI,
I’ve got some green screen footage I’m working with, Shot in DVCPRO HD, and I’m trying to keep from getting those ugly jagged edges. I channel blurred a shot, keyed that (with primatte RT) which gave me nice smooth edges, and now I want to apply that alpha to the original shot on a higher layer, how do I do this? I tried changing the blend mode and stencil alpha didn’t work, but stencil luma worked pretty well. The only problem with this is that when I need to make masks to get rid of unwanted production gear in the shot it only lets the footage inside my matte show through to my background, everything else around it is black. So if I can simply apply the alpha from one shot to another I think that would work best. Thanks for your help.

    Heya,

You can use an image mask to accomplish this. Just be aware of the ‘Stencil’ option, which you may not want to leave on in this case: Image Mask.
