Coordinates Issues
I am trying to make an arrow polygon using the Line Tool. I roughly draw out the 7 points needed to make my arrow. Then I select the first point and manually enter the coordinates 0,0,0–apply.
Next I select the outer most corner (next in the spline) and set the coordinates (200, 0,-200) apply.
Next I select the inner corner (next in spline) and set the coordinates (150,0,-200) apply
Continuing I select the lowest corner and set the coordinates (150, 0,-800) apply.Repeat those steps in opposite order using the negative value for ‘x’.
Looks perfect.
Nex, I select the two inner corner pieces (-150,0,-200) and (150,0,-200) and according to the measurements panel, my selection dimensions are 298.394,0,.3854) or something. They clearly should be (300,0,0). What gives?
If I make the correction to their size in the measurements panel, their individual coordinates mess up. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it? It’s not just a rounding error, this is a full inch off. If I were plotting a skyscraper, people’s lives would be at risk. I don’t get it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
