    Hello,

Could someone please explain to me the difference between the coordinates parameters of a polygon object for instance, in the Attributes window, vs the coordinates parameters which are located next to the materials window, in Standard layout? Object Attributes coordinates are relevant to the “Model” tool, while the Coordinates next to the Materials window are related to the Polygon tool, I realize.

If anyone could give me a run down of the differences. There are obvious differences such as one is keyframeable etc, I am aware. But you know…hopefully, and I don’t:)

    Thanks in advance.

I’m only half the thing I say I am, the other half are me.

The coords next to the material manager = the coordinate manager. It can display coordinates in object or world space. It can also display coordinates for point/poly/edge location.

In contrast, the coordinates tab for an object only displays the coordinates for an object in object space, and it won’t display point/poly/edge coordinates. It has the advantage of updating the object the editor window in real time (no “Apply” necessary).
