Coordinate Counter
Posted by Paul Willetts on February 6, 2011 at 9:48 pmI’m trying to find if there are any plugins out there or anyway to easily place a coordinate counter over the top of a video I am putting together.
Does anyone know of any plugins????

February 6, 2011 at 10:59 pmWithin FX Factory are the SugarFX HUD plugins. These have a variety of on screen displays like video, binoculars with data etc. They are highly adjustable and may be able to give you the sort of on screen you need.

February 6, 2011 at 11:19 pmHere is a DIY idea!
Open Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and make your GUIDES like you want. Then draw over the guides with black strokes on white background.
Then… import that into FCP and lock the layer and do whatever you want over that. You can also lower opacity if your working with multiple layers. No need for downloading and figuring out a whole new plugin.
Please be careful that your Sequence settings match that in Photoshop and Illustrator. To clarify… if your working in HD then make sure your exported image is 1080×1920. To find out – simply right click on your sequence it should state it there.
Again be careful as VIDEO and computer pixils are different, if your using a new version there are VIDEO pre-sets in PSD and AI.
